Prayer 1 for America

Prayers for America

From “Boone,” meaning the Blessed of God
(Adapted from James chapter 1 verses 6-10, in the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

When I read this passage I want to shout to fellow adopted brother in the faith James, “what do you mean IF “any of you is deficient in wisdom”? Father God, I confess on behalf of the United States of America that we are deficient in wisdom—especially at the presidential level—more than ever in the history of our country.

We “ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding” so that “it will be given” to Bible believer and values driven Americans.

We adore you that nobody other than You is able to give to everyone (regardless of political party, racial background, sexual orientation, economic class, etc.).

We thank you for giving to the deep needs of our country and its individuals liberally and ungrudgingly. We thank you that, so unlike our 2016 presidential candidates, You provide for our needs without reproaching or faultfinding.

We bring our supplications (our heartfelt requests) “in faith” not “wavering (no hesitating, no doubting)” to You. Holy Spirit, help voters this year more than ever not be “blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind” of emotion and mudslinging. We know in our hearts that America won’t “receive anything” worthwhile and lasting from this election without your transforming power and undeserved grace Lord.

Help all the presidential candidates not be “of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute)” on the issues that they will so desperately need to address if they’re elected. The stability of this nation, the safety of Your originally chosen people the Jews, and the stability of warring nations round the world depend more than ever on You Holy Spirit as we approach the second coming of Jesus of Nazareth.

Father, You know all too well that our nation cannot thrive with “unstable and unreliable” people in office at any of our governmental levels.

“Let” multitudes of individual Americans “in humble circumstances glory” in “the true riches” upon which our nation was founded on, as people who acknowledge that we as a nation are “an heir of God.”

Also, Father, let “rich” people—especially those in government—be “humbled [by being shown” their “human frailty].”

We ask all these things as adopted children of Yours that your glory will be restored to America—and spread around the world because of our values and integrity—in the name of Jesus the Christ.
